The Office for Film, Newspaper and Article Administration ("OFNAA") held "The 16th Healthy Information Student Ambassadors Scheme Award Ceremony" on 8 March 2025 at the Kennedy Town Community Complex to recognise the participation and efforts of the student ambassadors as well as the support from their schools, teachers and parents.
Speaking at the award ceremony, the Assistant Director of Film, Newspaper and Article Administration, Mr Chris Fung, stated that OFNAA has all along been making significant efforts to keep young people away from the online obscene and indecent materials while helping them to develop a positive attitude towards the use of the Internet.
OFNAA launched the "Healthy Information Student Ambassadors Scheme" (the "HISA Scheme") since 2009, aimed at promoting a culture of students' healthy use of the Internet and to encourage them to participate actively in community services. It has reached the 16th anniversary in 2024-25. In the 2024-25 academic year, 58 students from 22 secondary schools participated in the HISA Scheme. The student ambassadors participated in various training courses and public education activities to deepen their understanding on healthy use of the Internet. They promoted the concept of healthy use of the Internet and "Healthy Information for a Healthy Mind" at their schools, while also actively participated in various public education events to spread the message of safe and healthy use of the Internet.
Nomination of 17th HISA has begun and will close on 31 March 2025. Form 1 to Form 5 secondary students who are interested in the participation of the HISA Scheme can contact their school for inquiries.
