Video Submission | After uploading the video to YouTube, set the video as unlisted, please name the video title according to the prescribed format “name-school name”. (Please check the YouTube Help for uploading the video) Upload the video and copy the sharable link and email it to publicspeakingcompetition@ofnaa.gov.hk. Please write “name-school name” as the email subject. If the video cannot be played during the adjudication period, regardless of reasons, the competitors will not receive any marks or certificates. OFNAA will not inform the participant if such cases arise. Please reserve time for filling out the related information and uploading the video to avoid heavy upload traffic. The submission time is based on that of OFNAA server. Any late submission, regardless of reasons, will not be accepted. |
Primary School Group (Primary 4 - 6)

Competitors must record their performances and submit their videos to OFNAA according to the submission procedures, deadline and the specifications.
The performers must be the competitors or they will be disqualified.
Anyone who does not meet the qualifications of the competition or violates the rules, whether before or after the competition, may be disqualified without further notice.
Competitors who violate the rules will be disqualified or their scores will be affected.
OFNAA reserves the rights for final decision
The competitors shall not hold any notes or else no marks nor certificates will be given.
Any form of prompting, such as cueing, is not allowed during video-recording, otherwise competitors’ marks will be affected.
Neat, tidy and appropriate attire is required in the video entry.
Competitors are not allowed to use any props or sound effects in the videos. If violateds, no scores will be given.
The performance shall be within 3 minutes.
The competitors shall choose one of the topic from below. (Chinese only)
小學組題目:

Competitors shall follow the below order in recording the video:
(i) Announce their names and groups;
(ii) Perform the speaking once.
Competitors will be disqualified if they failed to comply with the following:
The video must be a single, continuous shot video footage. Competitors must not stop or pause the camera during shooting.
Special effects (such as filters, transitions, colour adjustments, light adjustments or subtitles etc.), mixing, editing or post-production are not permitted.
The video must be recorded live and dubbing is not permitted.
Competitors’ marks will be affected if they do not observe the following:
The audio and video have to be synchronised and the sound quality has to be clear and smooth.
The resolution of the video should be 720p (1280x720) or above.
The shooting has to be done indoor with a simple background and sufficient lighting. Avoid having any bright lights from behind, and virtual or projected background. The recording environment has to be quiet.
The entire video must clearly show the competitor’s full body, appearance, actions and posture.
When shooting, the camera has to be stable without any camera movement (including zoom in / out).
No amplifiers should be usedWearing a mask during recording may affect the performance. Competitors can shoot in a safe environment without wearing the mask. Competitors have to follow all anti-epidemic regulations by the Government and the precautionary measures by venues at that time and take the responsibility of assessing their own health risk in any circumstances.

Adjudication will be based on the overall performance of the Competitors, including:
• Content of the speech – if the content is relevant to the topic and able to promote the Ordinance (40%)
• Voice (20%)
• Presentation skills (20%)
• Eye contact and confidence (20%)
The judges have the final decision and no one may object.
Trophies and cash coupons will be awarded to the champion, first runner-up, second runner-up, and merit award winners of each group.
Certificates will be given to all participants of the competition. Students who submitted video entry will also be awarded a participation certificate.
